Our Values
Our values shape how we worship, serve and share God’s love with those around us. They reflect the kind of church we strive to be and the heart behind everything we do.
Jesus is at the center of it all
Jesus remains the centre of everything we are. We honour Him and we work to resemble Christ and have a heart like Him and for Him. We seek Jesus first.
Our church is a family above all
Church is so much more than just where we are. We want our people to always know they have a home here and they have a community that they can lean on, a family who doesn’t give up on each other.
We strive for oneness in everything we do
Unity is very important to us. We work to have one voice, one collective vision for the church and we have the same Holy Spirit within us. Jesus that live in us unites us.
Love God and Love People
Above all, we just want to Love God and Love each other. The love of God sustains us in our everyday life, and loving people is how we spread the light of Christ in the word. This is the greatest form of evanglism.
The Bible is the Word of God. It’s guidance, a roadmap about how to live our lives abundantly. The teachings protect us and give us wisdom wrapped in love. God’s Word is The Way, The Truth and the Life. It is alive, and therefore applies to our lives today, even though it was written centuries ago. The Word of God was written by many different authors who were inspired by the Holy Spirit. The stories are of broken people God used to inspire and encourage. The Bible shows us that God isn’t searching for perfection people but connection, relationship. Most importantly, the Bible is a love letter from God to us.

There is only one God who exists eternally, yet God exists in three distinctive persons; God the Father, God the Son and The Holy Spirit. All three persons have their own roles within the Trinity, but they are all fully God, therefore they have equal power and equal authority. In the beginning, God said “Let Us create mankind in Our image.” The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit have been here since the creation of time.

God the Father is one of the persons of the Trinity. He created the universe through His Word (His Son) and by the power of the Holy Spirit. The Father directs the Will of The Son and the Will of the Spirit, who submit to Him to accomplish the Will of God. He is a good Father.

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is also fully God. The Bible says that in the beginning there was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. In a later passage, John writes that the Word became flesh to dwell among us. Jesus came on earth as the prophesied Messiah and came to restore the broken relationship between man and God. He did this by atoning for the sins of man that occurred from the fallout of Adam and Eve. Jesus bore the weight of our sin and God sacrificed His Son in exchange for our sins. Then He rose again on the third day. Whoever believes in Him will have eternal life.

The Holy Spirit is God and the third person of the Trinity. Before the creation of the world, the Spirit of God was hovering around. The Holy Spirit lives inside of all those who accept Jesus as Lord and Saviour. He is a counsellor, and He guides and reveals. The power of the Holy Spirit, the power to heal for example, is within those who accept Him and believe in Him. The Holy Spirit gives gifts to people, such as the Gift of speaking in tongues, prophecy and wisdom.

Salvation is a gift given to us, to redeem us from all of our sins. Sin entered the world when Adam and Eve disobeyed God, and from that day, humanity has been born into sin. When Jesus died on the cross for us, He gave us the Gift of Salvation. It’s a gift because nothing we could do could ever earn it, we just have to believe in Jesus. Grace is unmerited favour; it’s the mercy, the kindness, the love of God. He gives it freely. Through His grace, we have been saved.

When people think of church, they think of the building, the four walls. However, the church is so much more than that. The church is the people, the church therefore is alive. The church functions as one body, with different functions, but essential to each other.

Baptism is for those who want to accept Jesus as Lord and Saviour. Those who are ready go through water baptism, just as Jesus did. They become born again and adopted into the family of God. Those who get baptised take the Holy Communion. The Holy Communion is a symbolic way to remember the sacrifice that Jesus made. The bread represents the body of Christ that was shed, and the wine represents His blood that was spilled.
